All walks start from the Moot Hall at 10.15 and return between 4 and 5 and most are between 8 and 10 miles unless otherwise stated. Tickets are available on the day, £5 per adult, £3 per child. A child being between 5 - 18. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring a packed lunch and plenty liquids. You are advised to carry your own first-aid kit. Leaders will be pleased to advise on the terrain and nature of the walk and will be present whatever the weather. The Leader may choose to cancel the walk if there is only one customer and is empowered to refuse to escort anyone who appears unlikely to be able to complete the walk and has the discretion to change the route/walk according to conditions. Some walks require transport and fares are extra. Walks in Bold in midsummer are long and taxing and involve a late return, please consult the leader. GRADES. Car
Parking Another free alternative is the old railway station. At the only pedestrian crossing in Keswick, turn off the main road to drive downhill, down a long, straight road, this is Station Road, if there are no places along here keep going until you reach a mini-roundabout (¾ of a mile), turn left, the Swimming baths are on your right and the old station car-park on your left. Good luck! To
compliment your walks, there are slide shows of Lakeland in the Moot
Hall on most weekday evenings. |
